Question:
- What exclusions need to be implemented on Anti-Virus or Host Intrusion (HIPS) Software if it is impacting the performance of the Control-M on Distributed Systems?
Answer:
If the performance of the Control-M/Enterprise Manager, Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent or any Control-M Module is impacted by Anti-virus software, the following exclusions are strongly recommended:
 
1. All the files and sub-directories under the Control-M/Enterprise Manager, Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent installations
2. All Control-M/Enterprise Manager, Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent processes and binary programs (p_ctm*, em*)
3. Communication ports used by the Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent processes and binary programs
