Control-M/Enterprise Manager automatically generates alerts whenever a job ends in NOTOK status. If this behaviour is not wanted, it can be switched off.

To disable alerts on all jobs that end NOTOK you have to change the system parameter AlertOnAbend.

Valid values for this parameter are:
1 - Control-M/Enterprise Manager automatically generates an Alert for each job which ends NOTOK (default).
0 - These alerts are not generated

This parameter can be found at the following location:

From the Control-M Configuration Manager right click on Control-M EM from the Components Tree and select System Parameters > select  Advanced >Click on the 'Name' column and type in 'AlertonAbend'. The AlertOnAbend parameter is located in the GTW section. The default value is set to "1" and change it to "0" to disable the Alert generated automatically. 

This change does not take effect until you recycle all gateways, and you may not see any alerts after making this change until you also recycle the GUI Server.
