Perform these steps to change the db_name, db_password, db_user or db_type
From the command line
From the Management Console
- On the Security tab, highlight the "database_login" group.
- Make sure that the group is not read-only (click on the "Toggle Read-Only State" icon in the toolbar if it is).
- Click on the "Edit Advanced Properties" icon in the toolbar.
- Select the appropriate database type from the dropdown list.
- Confirm the chage by clicking OK.
- Highlight the "database_login" group.
- Set it to read-only again.
- Save the changes.
- Quit the Management Console.
- Stop and start the services.
Additional information
Not all db_* parameters need to be specified. If, for example, only the database type ("db_type") needs to be changed, the other db_* parameters can be omitted.
Example database types from different versions, please be aware that not every type is support in every product version
"DB2 9.2" use DB2
"DB2 9.5" use DB2
"DB2 9.7" use DB2
"DB2 10.5" use DB2
"Microsoft SQL Server" or MSSQL
"Oracle 9.2" or ORACLE_92
"Oracle 10.1" or ORACLE_101
"Oracle 10.2" or ORACLE_102
"Oracle 11.1" or ORACLE_111
"Oracle 11.2" or ORACLE_112
"Oracle 12.1" or ORACLE_121
Note that when using TMTM8.1 Oracle 12.2 and 18c should also use database type Oracle 12.1
Starting MVMM9.x, following db_type should be used for supported DB versions.
