Do request the developer that created the SSIS package to set the "ProtectionLevel" to "DontSaveSensitive"
Additional Information:
- When the SSIS package is created with "ProtectionLevel" parameter of the package set to “EncryptSensitiveWithPassword” be default
- When this SSIS package is run by a different user on a different server, the following error will be displayed:
“Failed to decrypt protected XML node "DTS:Password" with error 0x8009000B "Key not valid…”
- This same error will occur as well if this SSIS package is executed via the DTEXEC utility.
The utility will continue to process the SSIS package whereas Control-M stops executing the package when it gets this error.
- When SSIS package is configured using encryption data with user key, this is currently not supported.
An RFE has been submitted for consideration:
CTM-2536 - Cannot run Control-M DB jobs with encrypted SSIS package
