How to upgrade the Control-M/Enterprise Manager supplied Web Server (Tomcat 7.0.50) to the current latest minor version (7.0.xx) provided by Apache in Control-M 9.0.00?

 1)    Download the latest available Tomcat minor version 7.0.xx binaries from https://tomcat.apache.org/download-70.cgi (Binary distribution Core, ZIP or tar.gz file)
 2)    Stop the Control-M Web Server
 3)    Stop Control-M Self Service 
 4)    Stop the GUI Server
 5)    Backup the “tomcat” directory (copy to different directory)
       a. Windows: %EM_HOME%/emweb/tomcat
       b. UNIX: $EM_HOME/etc/emweb/tomcat
 6)    Extract the new Tomcat package to a temporary location
 7)    Copy directories “bin” and “lib” from the new package to the original package (overwrite the existing “bin” and “lib”)
 8)    Copy the files LICENSE, NOTICE, RELEASE-NOTES and RUNNING from the new package to the original package (overwrite the existing files)
 9)    Start GUI Server
 10)   Start Self Service
 11)   Start the Control-M Web Server

NOTE:  This newer version of Tomcat used has not been tested by BMC and is used at your own risk.
