What is needed to get an account on the BMC Support Web Page. |
In order to create an account, you will first need your "Support Contract ID" and "Contract Password". If you or one of your colleagues don't have this information, we can help you find it. If you have a maintenance contract with BMC, we have a record of it. To get this information, contact the BMC customer care team either by email or phone To get the contract details by email, please contact us at customer_care@bmc.com and the Global Contact Center will reply with the details. If you would like to get your contract details by phone, use the local support number from the BMC support web site. With either method, please be ready to provide your name and company name, your email address and phone number, and the BMC product which you are looking to work with. For example, Control-M Workload Automation To find your local phone number, first navigate to www.bmc.com/support and click on "Contact Support" For example if you are in the United States or Canada, select North America, and call the customer care team at 800-537-1813 and provide them your contact information. They will reply with an email containing your "Support Contract ID" and "Contract Password". Once you have this information, you are now ready register with BMC support Back on bmc.com/support click 'Register' at the far right. Then click the box "Are you a current/future BMC Customer?" and then the box "Access to BMC Support" Fill in the fields at the top with your contact information and then enter in the "Support Contract ID" and "Contract Password" recevied earlier. When you are done filling in the details, click 'Validate'. Scroll down and fill in the CAPTCHA text , acknowledge the privacy policy, and finally click 'Submit' Your email confirmation will be sent shortly. The first thing you should consider doing now is to setup your support profile to get notifications and information about the products. From bmc.com/support, login and then click on My Support and then on My Support Profile Review items such as your Login Profile and Product List. You can create a customized product list by clicking on Create or Modify Customized Product and Subscription Lists under Proactive Notification Subscriptions. In the list of products that comes up, select the ones you are interested in receiving updates on and click Submit at the bottom.
