There are two places where the predefined filters can be stored:
1. At the Web Browser level, the one used to access the CONTROL-D/Web Access Server.
It is stored in cookies.- This is the default option
2. At the CONTROL-D/Web Access Server level, in a file defined through the CONTROL-D/Web Access Desktop.
This is the recommended option to maximize the availability on all stations and all web browsers.

-> Report List
--> Filter
---> Filter Storage
----> Filter Storage Type = Server File System
----> Filter Storage Location = <Path to a shared disk accessible by all COONTROL-D/Web Server>
----> save with the OK button
- Exit desktop
- Wait for the refresh delay default 600sec/10mn OR restart CONTROL-D/Web Access Server
NOTES ON OPTIONS:
Option 1:
- Filters are stored on the current work station for the current Web Browser.
- when using another Web Browser the filters stored in the original Web Browser cannot be used.
- when working on another Workstation the filters stored in the original workstation cannot be used.
- Filters cannot be replicated from a User A to a User B.
Option 2:
- Filters are stored in a file named user.filter on the CONTROL-D/Web Access Server.
You may use a shared folder when there is more than one CONTROL-D/Web Server.
- Any Web Browser can be used, the filters will be available for the user that saved the filters.
- Any Workstation can be used,the filters will be available for the user that saved the filters.
- When upgrading to a new CONTROL-D/Web Access server, the filters will be available if you make the file accessible to the new version or copy them in the new installation.
- Filters can be replicated from a User A to a User B.
Example:
- Use Usera as a model.
- In the path mentioned to store the filters on the CONTROL-D/WebAccess server there is a file named as usera.filter.
- Copy usera.filter to new name userb.filter
- Then userb will have the same filter as usera
