Control-M for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) and Control-M Managed File Transfer (MFT) are add-on components of the Control-M Workload Management solution that provides integrated facilities for the scheduling of file transfers.

AFT and MFT act as the scheduling agent for standard transfers using native FTP and for secure data transfer, both SSL and SFTP can be utilized as the transport of choice.

AFT and MFT rely on the OpenSSL implementation of SSL and for an SFTP implementation the 3DES and AES cryptographic modules to satisfy the FIPS 140-2 compliance.

For an SSL implementation, OpenSSL provides the FIPS 140-2 compliance.
For an SFTP implementation, the 3DES and AES cryptographic modules are available to satisfy the FIPS 140-2 security requirements.
