Oracle 18c and 19c is targeted for support out of the box with Control-M version 9.0.20
Control-M Workload Archiving specifically was verified on Oracle 19c only.

Control-M release 9.0.19.100 and .200 has been tested and is supported with both Oracle 18c and 19c.
But because the installation checks the Oracle version during the validation phase, it blocks users from installing Control-M with these versions of Oracle.

To allow installation with Oracle 18c or 19c, use the following steps:

1) While logged in as the relevant user, set the environment SKIPVALIDATIONS to Y
Example with csh: setenv SKIPVALIDATIONS Y
Example with bash, sh, ksh:  SKIPVALIDATIONS=Y ; export SKIPVALIDATIONS

2) Run the Control-M install

3) For existing Control-M 9.0.19.100 and 9.0.19.200 installations, there is no requirement to set SKIPVALIDATIONS if upgrading to Oracle 18c or 19c

Additional Information:
Oracle 18c is the first version of the product to follow a yearly release pattern.
From here on, Oracle databases will be released every year along with quarterly updates according to Oracle (contact Oracle for specific details).

Oracle Database with Multitenant Pluggable Database or Architecture is only supported if:
- Installed as a regular database server that is not on the Container Database (CBD)
- Installed as a regular database server that is using Pluggable / Portable Database (PDB)
