Step by step procedure:
- Configure the appliance to record the next scan results: Administration > Discovery Configuration, set "Recording Mode" to "Record".
- If possible, wait until there are no other scans running.
- If required by BMC Support, enable debug logs in the appliance UI, or in the proxy settings.
- Create and start a Discovery run
- Use the suitable procedures to scan an IP, an API or a cloud.
- If required by BMC Support, enable the session logs from the Discovery run.
- Wait for the end of the scan.
- Check that the resulting scan contains the problem that you would like to report to BMC Support.
- Collect the record and pool data with this documented procedure.
Afterwards, don't forget to:
- Disable the record mode in In Administration > Discovery Configuration (set Recording Mode to "Off")
- Disable debug logging if needed.
