PATROL Agent installation fails on Windows with error " [SCRIPT_FAIL]policy_install.cmd: Error encountered when trying to update "C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\common\security\config_v3.0\site_0.reg" |
This error indicates that there is a failure to update the registries on the server. Please perform the following steps in order to update the registries: Go to (Installation directory)\common\security\config_v3.0 Double click on site_0.reg (This is the default security level. If the Patrol Agent has been installed with security level 1 then click on site_1.reg and so on for other security level) . After that Go to Start > Run >Regedit > HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > SOFTWARE > BMC SOFTWARE> Patrol > SecurityPolicy_v3.0 > Check if Site has got created. Under Site > Click on Verifier > Check if the security level displayed is correct . Follow the same steps for "esi64.reg" "signer.reg" and "verifier.reg" and confirm that the registries are created. Then try to start the PatrolAgent. If this does not work, please reinstall the agent. Make sure to "Run as Administrator" and select "OVERWRITE SECURITY" as "YES" while creating package. |
