  How do I configure SMTP parameters on Control-M/Server?

Answer

  1. Logon the Control-M/Server.
  2. Execute the command:  ctm_menu
  3. Select option for "Parameter Customization"
  4. Select option "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Parameters"
  5. Enter the parameters provided by your Mail Administrator.
  6. Save the configuration with the option "s"
  7. Test the configuration with option "Test SMTP Settings"

Additional Information

  This is usually done the first time (to setup SMTP) or some other time when the SMTP server is changed (like decomissioning an old mail server, for example)
