How to download the TrueSight Presentation Server Plugin from TrueSight Capacity Optimization, to install or update the plugin on TrueSight Presentation Server?

To download the Capacity Optimization plugin

(a) TSCO 11.0 and later:  

Select  Administration >SYSTEM >Maintenance  

Under Plugin for TrueSight Console, click on  Download plugin. 


 

(b) TSCO 10.7.x, 10.5:

Select Administration > VIEWS > Views : scroll down on the page, the plugin is at the bottom.  Next, for version 10.7, refer to the To install the Capacity Optimization Plugin (only required for TrueSight Capacity Optimization 10.7.x) section at the bottom of this KA for information on how to initially deploy the Capacity Views plugin for version 10.7.xx.

Under Plugin for TrueSight Console, click Download plugin. 

To update the Capacity Optimization Plugin.

1. Copy the plugin zip file to the computer where TrueSight Presentation Server is installed.
2. Open a command prompt and change the directory to the root folder of the /[Presentation Server installation] directory.
3. Navigate to the /bin directory and run the tssh utility to install the plugin.
4. Install the Capacity Optimization plugin:

Operating system	Command
Linux	nohup ./tssh componenttype update <path>/co-plugin-xxxx.zip
Windows	tssh componenttype update <path>/co-plugin-xxxx.zip

Note: <path> refers to the location where the plugin file is saved.

Make sure the TSCO plugin is properly installed on the Presentation Server by reviewing the output of file nohup.out generated on [TSPS_install_directory]/bin.
The output should look like this:

- - Check the status of TSPS server service

cd /opt/bmc/TrueSightPServer/truesightpserver/bin

tssh server status

- - If found that TSPS services status is not in a "running" status then kindly execute below command again to start the TSPS server services forcefully.

./tssh server stop 

./tssh server start force

./tssh server status 
 

NOTE:
An update of the Plugin is required when installing a CHF or FP on TSCO including a new version of the Plugin.

If the Plugin is not the latest version a warning message is displayed for the TrueSight Presentation Server component under Administration >SYSTEM >Status:

TrueSight Capacity Optimization Plugin not updated with the latest version

(Version 11.3.01 and below).


(Version 11.5 and later)

To install the Capacity Optimization Plugin (only required for TrueSight Capacity Optimization 10.7.x)

1. Copy the plugin zip file to the computer where TrueSight Presentation Server is installed.
2. Open a command prompt and go to the root folder of the Presentation Server installation.
3. Navigate to the bin directory and run the tssh utility to install the plugin.
4. Install the Capacity Optimization plugin:

Operating system	Command
Linux	nohup ./tssh componenttype add <path>/co-plugin-<version>.zip
Windows	tssh componenttype add <path>/co-plugin-<version>.zip

Note:

<path> refers to the location where the plugin file is saved.
