Installation log InstallLog-xxx-error shows:
/bin/sh: /opt/bmc/common/security/bin_v3.0/linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/cfg_sec_prms: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: /opt/bmc/Patrol3/Linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/bin/setda: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: /opt/bmc/Patrol3/Linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/bin/pcnfg_script: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: /opt/bmc/Patrol3/Linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/bin/pcnfg_script: No such file or directory

hostname_3181_install.log-display shows below:
Installation/upgrade failed.
The user log contains the following fatal errors:
The specified script [/opt/bmc/common/security/bin_v3.0/linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/cfg_sec_prms /opt/bmc/common/security/config_v3.0/patconf.conf /opt/bmc/common/patrol.d/patrol.conf] does not exist.
Invalid script path [%{/BMC/BASE}security/bin_v3.0/linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/cfg_sec_prms %{/BMC/BASE}security/config_v3.0/patconf.conf %{/BMC/BASE}patrol.d/patrol.conf].
Unable to execute script [%{/BMC/BASE}security/bin_v3.0/linux-2-6-x86-64-nptl/cfg_sec_prms %{/BMC/BASE}security/config_v3.0/patconf.conf %{/BMC/BASE}patrol.d/patrol.conf] for product [sec_conf_unixv3].

Cause

Architecture conflict

Solution

During package creation please make sure Platform selected is correct validating with uname -a command.
i.e.
$ uname -a
Linux myhost 3.10.0-957.1.3.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Nov 29 14:49:43 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

as one can see, architecture for this machine is x64. If selected different platform like IA64 or x86 then security files may conflict. One can validate package details in install.ctl file inside bmc_products directory, if OsArch shows like below example:
[TARGET] OsType("==","Linux") OsMajorVer("==",2 ) OsArch("==","x86") PatrolReleaseVer("==","7.4")

then Platform doesn't met with returned by uname command, architecture selected during package creation was x86. Please recreate package and make sure Platform met CPU architecture like below.

Also please make sure that "Overwrite current security configuration" is selected as "Yes"

Once package is recreated please reinstall the agent.
Similar error is also observed when PatrolAgent or it's KM are installed on unsupported OS version.
Make sure PatrolAgent and KMs are compatible with OS.
