Toleration Support
Compuware successfully tested toleration all current releases of Compuware products for toleration support with the new IBM z15 processor, machine type 8561, model T01.

Toleration support means that Compuware products function as expected when running on the new z15 processor, while not involving any new features introduced or supported by the new z15 processor.

Exploitation Support
Exploitation support means using or supporting any new IBM hardware or software features available through the new z15 processor.

Customers wishing exploitation support by Compuware products should contact Compuware Customer Solutions with any new feature requirements.

Active Exploitation Support Projects
Compuware is actively evaluating, designing and enabling our products to support various new features on the IBM z15. Active projects are those listed below and described in the IBM z15 announcement letter.

• Support the IBM z15 instruction set – resulting in faster execution times for those critical applications.
• Support ARCH(13) compiler option for IBM z15 – support exploiting new z15 instructions.
• Support System Recovery Boost – expedite everything needed to get back up and ready for workload execution.

Evaluation Exploitation Projects

• Evaluate z15 Compression Accelerator – reduces data footprint size so that less space and less time is needed for data transfer.
• Evaluate z15 Merge/Sort Accelerator – shortens time to merge/sort data, especially with those long running overnight batch scripts.

The following table includes initial maintenance available to provide Day 1 support for IBM z15. For maintenance made available after this publication, please select a product's home page for available maintenance or contact Customer Solutions directly.

There are currently no required maintenance PTFs for z15 toleration.
