Toleration Support
BMC Compuware successfully tested all current BMC Compuware product releases for toleration support on IBM z/OS V2.4.

Toleration support means that a BMC Compuware product functions as expected when running on IBM z/OS V2.4, while not involving any new features introduced or supported by IBM z/OS V2.4.

Exploitation Support
Exploitation support means using or supporting any new IBM hardware or software features available for IBM z/OS 2.4.

Customers wishing exploitation support by BMC Compuware products should contact BMC Compuware Customer Support with any new feature requirements.

Current Exploitation Support Projects
BMC Compuware is actively evaluating, designing, and enabling support for various new features in IBM z/OS V2.4. New features currently under consideration for exploitive support are listed below. (Complete descriptions of these features can be found in the IBM z/OS V2.4 announcement letter - July 23, 2019.)

• RUCSA – Restricted Use Common Service Area – support the augmented virtual address space
• PDSE Encryption – validate usage of and support for PDSE encrypted data sets
• JES2 Encryption of SPOOL data sets – support encrypted instream and SYSOUT data sets on spool
• Pervasive Encryption phase 2 – support basic and large format Sequential data set encryption
• z/OS Platform software installation improvements – providing configuration workflows and integration with IBM z/OSMF Software Management to provide a more automatic software installation and configuration experience
