Finding EMDEF XML Utility Operations with the Audit Report

Prerequisites: Auditing must be enabled. To enable auditing follow the documentation here: https://documents.bmc.com/supportu/9.0.21/help/Main_help/en-US/index.htm#CCMOptionsAuditAndAnnotationUC.htm

To identify when the XML utilities were used, create the following report:

    1. In Reports select Add New Report.
    2. Under Active select Audit and click Add.
    3. Add the following filter: Component Type is XML Utility.
    4. Save the Report

Example:




For details on the specific operations performed by the XML Utility:

    1. Add a "Time Range" Filter for the user that did the LOGIN and the time range between the LOGIN and    LOGOUT
    2. Identify the operations done by the XML utility reflected in the “Audit operation" column.
