Note

• You must run this utility on every host where Control-M/EM and Control-M/Server was upgraded to version 9.0.21.100.
• In a Full Install environment, you only need to run this utility for Control-M/EM or Control-M/Server—not both.

The following procedures describe how to run the Configuration Restore utility:

 

Running the Configuration Restore Utility on Control-M/EM

This procedure describes how to run the Configuration Restore utility on Control-M/EM on UNIX/Linux and Windows.

• Verify that Control-M/EM 9.0.21.100 is installed.
• Download the Windows (zip) and/or Unix/Linux (tar) file(s) attached to this article.

• Log in as the Control-M/EM user.

• Do one of the following:
  • UNIX/Linux: Extract the memupgrade.tar file that you obtained into a temporary directory.
  • Windows: Extract the memupgrade.zip file that you obtained into a temporary directory.
• Do one of the following
  • Interactive:
    1. Run the following script from the home directory:
       em bmcpython <memupgrade_temporary_directory_path>/memoptfixer.py
    2. Press Y to restore the original settings.
  • Non-interactive: Run the following script from the home directory:
    em bmcpython <memupgrade_temporary_directory_path>/memoptfixer.py --noninteractive
• Restart the Control-M components on the host where the original settings are now restored.

This procedure describes how to run the Configuration Restore utility on Control-M/Server on UNIX/Linux and Windows.

• Verify that Control-M/Server 9.0.21.100 is installed.
• Download the Windows (zip) and/or Unix/Linux (tar) file(s) attached to this article.

• Log in as the Control-M/Server user.

• Do one of the following:
  • UNIX/Linux: Extract the memupgrade.tar file that you obtained into a temporary directory.

• Do one of the following

This procedure describes how to revert to the default settings in Control-M/EM 9.0.21.100 on UNIX/Linux and Windows.

• Log in as the Control-M/EM user.
• Run the following command:
  em bmcpython <memupgrade_temporary_directory_path>/memoptfixer.py --revert
• Press Y to revert to the default settings in Control-M/EM 9.0.21.100.

Reverting to the Default Settings on Control-M/Server 9.0.21.100

This procedure describes how to revert to the default settings in Control-M/Server 9.0.21.100 on UNIX/Linux and Windows.

• Log in as the Control-M/Server user.
• Run the following command:
