What steps do I follow when the BMC BladeLogic Server Automation (BSA) Database has been moved to a new server?

The Moving or duplicating a BMC Server Automation Environment page covers the steps to perform when moving the database from one server to another. 

• The Moving the Database section covers a method of how to move the database from one system to another.
• Step 2b of the Moving the Application Server covers the steps to configure the new database connection
  • Before changing the below settings, use the blasadmin utility to display the existing database settings:
    • blasadmin  -a show database all
    • It should be evident what parts of the connection string need to change.
      Note the password is displayed as an encoded hash.   When using the set option below provide the plaintext password.
  • Using the blasadmin utility, configure the Database section parameters noted below.  These settings will be for the new database server.
    • blasadmin -a set database ConnectionString <ConnectionString>
    • blasadmin -a set database DriverClass <DriverClass>
    • blasadmin -a set database UserId <user_name>
    • blasadmin -a set database Password <Password
    • Repeat these settings on every appserver and jobserver in the environment
