How to create an administrator account that can see/modify/manage/assign all objects in BMC Client Management?
Step 1: Create administrator account.
1. Log in BMC Client Management console with the default 'admin' account 2. From Global Settings > Administrator node, create a new administrator account with a right-click
3. Set the administrator name and other properties
4. Be sure to set a password (in this example the BCM internal account is used, external authentication is needed when the administrator account is synchronized with Active Directory)
Step 2: Setting up the security permissions/profile for the administrator.
Security Profile which includes three different properties: Capabilities, Static Objects, and Dynamic Objects
a) In Capabilities, select all if the administrator wants to be able to do everything like viewing, managing, assigning, populating, scheduling, and configuring the BCM objects
b) Then in Static Objects: Right-click and select 'Add objects' and then select all 'Top Nodes' and add them.
This way administrator will be able to see all kinds of objects. In BCM there is a topology for each kind of object, the Top node is the root node, if the administrator can not see it then the administrator can not see objects located under it :
c). Finally in Dynamic Objects, right-click and select 'Add Results of Query'
select all from Out of the Box > BMC Client Management Database node. This will dynamically provide this administrator with access to all kinds of objects :
Step 3: Log in with this new administrator and test the permissions and access any nodes or objects.
