How can I check if the SMF record types and sub-types processed by the BMC Cost Analyzer for zEnterprise (CAzE) or the BMC Capacity Management for Mainframes (CMM) products are being collected?

This Knowledge Article is applicable to IBM z/OS 2.4 and onwards.
NOTE: For pre-IBM z/OS 2.4 installations, refer to Knowledge Article  000167543.

Prior to IBM z/OS 2.4, the IBM utility IFASMFDP listed the SMF record types being collected in your SMF dataset, but IFASMFDP didn't identify which sub-types they were.

The utility IFASMFDP has changed in IBM z/OS 2.4 implementing the parameter to print sub-types.
IBM manual (z/OS 2.4.0 -> z/OS MVS -> z/OS MVS System Management Facilities (SMF) -> Using the SMF dump programs) describes the IFASMFDP parameters.

The  parameter REPORTOPTS(NOSUBTYPE|SUBTYPE) controls whether the sub-types are printed. The default is NOSUBTYPE.
