How to update the Patch Knowledge base manually?
Automatically updating the Patch Knowledge Base requires a permanent Internet connection. If the Patch Manager is not connected to the Internet, it is still possible to keep the Patch Knowledge Base up-to-date. This process consists of downloading the files on another device, putting them on the Patch Manager and updating the Patch Knowledge Base with these files.
The following test is also valid: - For testing purposes or to get the patch manager back on track in case something has gone wrong in the last update that got the patch update through the internet impossible - Work around a temporary issue with the proxy In these cases, all the operations below could be ran on the patch manager itself, there would be no need for another device to be involved.
To do so, proceed as follows:
Access another device with an agent installed on it and has access to the internet.
Launch the command line tool as administrator.
Go to the bin folder of the agent. Typically, the agent is located at, cd .../agent/bin.
Create a temporary 'patch' folder in the bin folder of the agent. mkdir patch
From the bin folder, launch the command line and enter the following command. .
