When I open and update the AREA LDAP Configuration form in 9.1 SP2, I get multiple errors

When opening the AREA LDAP Configuration form, the following error message appears: .............................. "An unqualified search was issued and the server has been configured to disallow unqualified searches. You must specify some search criteria to perform a search on this form (ARERR 361)” .............................. When you click on "OK". The form is opened. After entering the relevant information and clicking on "Save Configuration" you get the error message: .............................. "ARERR [326] Required field cannot be blank. : AR System Configuration Component : Name" .............................. You are unable to save the configuration due to the errors. |

This is a workflow issue with the AREA LDAP Configuration form which is reported in the defect: ..................... SW00524411 - Getting "Unqualified search not enabled" error while opening AREA LDAP configuration form and also unable to save current configuration due to error "Required field cannot be left blank" ..................... This has been addressed in 9.1.03 (SP3) Workaround Import the attached def file, arealdap.ardef. Steps: 1. Download the attached file 'arealadp.ardef'. Rename it to 'arealdap.def' 2. Log in to the AR server with Developer Studio. Confirm that Base Development mode is active. (Click on File -->Switch Mode-->Base Development and confirm dialog window.) 3. Click on File -->Import --> Object Definitions --> <Select_Server_Name> --> Navigate to location of arealdap.def file and select --> click Next. Use the "Replace objects on the Destination Server" option. Once it is imported, re-Sync the Mid-Tier cache if needed. Note: If you get the following error when trying to import the objects in the .def file: ................. The specified container does not exist; Specified object cannot be modified in overlay mode set. Code 8804 ................. Then perform the following steps: 1. On the left window pane, click on AR System Navigator -->Applications Locate the item "AREA LDAP Configuration." Right-Click on it and select Delete. 3. Retry the .def file import.
