Problem

When trying to run DBISQL the following errors can occur:
The JRE_DIRECTORY key in the INI file specifies a path that does not contain JAVA.EXE: C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ProactiveNet\pw\jre\bin\java.exe

The Java virtual machine DLL was not found at:
C:\Windows\bin\server\jvm.dll. The JRE_DIRECTORY key in the INI file should specify a directory where is exists.

Search the system for the files:
jvm.dll
java.exe
Check the environment variables, making sure JRE_DIRECTORY is set to a PATH that includes both of the files.

After changing the dbisql.ini file from JRE_DIRECTORY=D:\BMCSoftware\ProactiveNet\pw\jre to JRE_DIRECTORY=D:\BMCSoftware\ProactiveNet\pw\jre32, the dbisql tool can be launched
