Why does a Control-M Smart Folder not release exclusive Control Resource when any jobs in the folder are waiting condition?

Control-M Smart Folder behaves like an entity and will block the exclusive Control resource until all jobs within the folder have finished execution (either OK or NOTOK) and only then release the resource. This is as per the design and currently there is no plan to change this in current or future versions.

If you want the exclusive Control Resource to be released when NO Jobs are in executing status but some jobs are in waiting condition status then you should set the exclusive Control Resource on the individual jobs instead of the smart folder.
