Use the menus on the Region and Site Group fields to select this information Also, If you are trying to create CI’s using AtriumCore Integration Engine (AIE) where Site is populated, then AIE gives this error: The Location Information is not valid. Please use the menus provided on the 'Region', 'Site Group' and 'Site' fields or the type ahead return function on the 'Site' field to select this information. AddEntry: CMDB API returned error during CMDBCreateInstance rc = 2 Why would AIE give that error if Site is correct and it exists? On the General tab, ensure that Region, Site Group, and Site all have items available to be selected by the menu.
If the Site Group field has no matching items available in the menu, run a query in the SIT:Site Group form and ensure you have an entry that matches your Company, Site Group, and Region.
Answer for AIE mapping is: don’t use the numeric mapping. Site is a menu type field and hence the actual value should be used with AIE. Site cannot be created by new record insert, but if the Site, Region and Site Group already exists then it should be fine to associate it with the record. The Product Catalog only gives this info: "The Product Catalog includes forms for creating and updating company and site information. Although the Site and Region forms are provided with the Product Catalog, they are used as part of BMC Remedy IT Service Management.
