After moving Track-It! to another server, the link in the Change Management notifications appear to still point to the original server. How can I change it so that it points to the new server?
Track-It! Server Move
To change the link in the Change Management notifications to point to another server, one option would be to simply uninstall and re-install Track-It! Web. Alternatively, the following steps can be taken to change the URL link:
  1. On the Track-It! server, open the following directory (default, depending on version):
Track-It! 10.x and upgrades to 11.x
C:\Program Files\Numara Software\Numara Track-It!\Track-It! Services\ConfigurationData

Track-It! 11.x new
C:\Program Files\BMC Software\Track-It!\Track-It! Services\ConfigurationData
  1. Open the Numara.TrackIt.Application.Web.xml (Track-It! 10.x) or TrackIt.Application.Web.xml (Track-It! 11) with Notepad.
  2. Search for "webServerURL" and then change the name of the server in the URL that is found.
  3. Save the changes to the file.
  4. Restart the Track-It! Service Management service.
New Change Management notifications that are sent to the approvers should now include a link to the correct server.
