Problem

When installing TSIM extensions on ARServer 18.05, or above, in an ARServer Group, the install is fine on the primary, but on the secondary it fails with "Admin operations on this Action Request System are disabled. Please enable admin operations and try again."

It is not possible to take the ARServer out of the ARServer Group and because of this, admin operations cannot be enabled.

Solution

This defect has been addressed in the 11.3.02 Extensions which are available from the EPD site.

Alternatively, the following fix can be used for v11.0 or v11.3.01:

Download the zip applicable to ARServer platform. Extract the zip and launch the installer.

If it still fails when using this installer, check the ARSystemInstalledConfiguration.xml file on the AR Server, and verify that it properly indicates that the server is a secondary server. On such a server, the BMC_IS_SECONDARY_SERVER parameter should be set to true.
