A remote cell is not seen in TrueSight Console Event Source list.

The cell entry has been added to <install dir>/pw/server/etc/mcell.dir file on TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM) server as below:

cell testcell mc testserver:1828 #THIS IS TEST

Cause

The mcell.dir entry contains a comment. Product defect DRTSV-910.

Solution

Remove the text '#THIS IS TEST' from the mcell.dir file and then reload it via command 'mcontrol -n <cellname> reload dir'.
