Issue-1: BMC Helix Portal: Unable to log in to BMC Helix Portal as Local User since InterOps was enabled to sync ITSM user to BMC Helix Portal as External Users. Error message says username or password are incorrect but the same credentials were working previously. Issue-2: Since InterOps was enabled there is no option showing "Forgot password" on BMC Helix Portal. |
Once InterOp is enabled local users will turn to external user and the "Forgot Password" option will not be displayed. It is a must to have a local Admin user which has the same login ID (BMC Helix Portal) present in ITSM before enabling InterOps. Example: - In BMC Helix Portal local admin user named "sjustin2" present - In ITSM user need to create the same login ID user "sjustin2", so the user authentication of that local user happens through the Helix ITSM SSO after InterOp. - This is required, "sjustin2" can take the role of Tenant Admin and keep assigning the appropriate permissions as when a new ITSM user gets synced to ADE. To create a local Admin "sjustin2" in ITSM which is already present in BMC Helix Portal follow the below steps: 1. log in to BMC Remedy AR System -> New Request -> Provide user detail which is present in BMC Helix Portal as Local Admin and having Admin privileges and save. Select the appropriate company name in which this user needs to be created: In this selected Administrator Group Access. The end-user can assign the appropriate groups 2. Now try logging in on BMC Helix Portal and it will allow to log in. To create a new user and make it admin in BMC Helix Portal follow the below steps: 1. log in to BMC Remedy AR System -> New Request -> Provide user detail. Example "user1" Webhook will push the user details to BMC Helix Portal. 2. log in to BMC Helix Portal with Local Admin or with ITSM user which is having Admin privileges in BMC Helix Portal. 3. From BMC Helix Console > User Access > Roles and Permissions 4. Select the "user1" and provide administrator roles.
