Question
Why is ThruPut Manager not Analyzing jobs in the JES2 input queue?
Answer
Is the TMSS started task active on the system where jobs are not analyzing?
Are ANALYSIS class initiators available?
Issue
TM CLASS DISPLAY
to get the ANALYSIS class; then issue
$DI,CLASS=(x)
where "x" is the ANALYSIS class to confirm that initiators are available.
Issue
$DJOBCLASS(x)
, where “x” is the ANALYSIS class and confirm that the system is in the QAFF list or QAFF=(ANY).
Sites with TM/AE who are using SLM-controlled ANALYSIS initiators should issue the
TM INITS
command to determine their status.
Are there jobs stuck in ANALYSIS in the ANALYSIS class initiators?
Are jobs EXECUTING in all of the ANALYSIS class initiators? (Initiators used for TM ANALYSIS should
only
be assigned to the TM ANALYSIS class).
Are there outstanding WTOR messages for TMSS or JES2?
Is JES2 experiencing a performance problem that is affecting TM? This may lead to the following messages in the SYSLOG:
DTM6026I CONTROL FILE LOCKOUT
DTM6043I JES2 IS NOT RESPONDING
