Windows Catalog Update job completes with below warning in the job run log:
Filter [<ProductName>] is misspelt or not supported, please revisit the configuration file.
Example: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Warning: Filter [Microsoft Windows Server 2019] is misspelt or not supported, please revisit the configuration file.
Product is not supported OR product_categories.xml is not refreshed properly
A] Validate if the product/filter added is supported:
- This can be checked by executing the offline downloader as mentioned in the 'Customizing the product_category.xml file' section in Patch catalog - Windows Catalog
To export patch metadata from the Shavlik to a CSV file, run the offline Patch Downloader utility for Microsoft Windows with the following command: windows_downloader.bat -configFile <DownloadConfigurationXMLFile> -exportIvantiProductCatalog <CSVFile>
If the product is not listed in the csv file, it is not supported.
B] If the product is listed in the csv file: - Re-add the customized product_categories.xml in:
Patch Global Configuration > Windows > Windows Filter Configuration File
- Click on 'Apply' and 'OK'
C] If A] and B] does not help, perform below steps:
Delete the file from console: Patch Global Configuration > Windows > Windows Filter Configuration File (select red cross to delete)
Login to the FileSever
Go to <file server>/patch/GlobalConstants directory.
Make a backup copy of the file the product-categories-filters.xml
Delete the file from the <file server>/patch/GlobalConstants directory
Make sure to add the filter if it is not provided out of the box as per below video
NOTE: Removing the current file deletes any customization made. If user want to customize the file again, download the latest file from Patch Global Configuration. Product_categories.xml from - Configuration > Patch Global Configuration > Windows > Windows Filter Configuration File and perform the changes as per video:

- TSSA exact version and OS - Catalog update job run logs - Application server logs of the time frame - Product_Categories.xml file being used
