BMC AMI Recover for Db2 BMC40571S ERROR DM PROCESSING,CODE=-5,DM=X'2B00' AT X'00D9A07D487E0A48D200' ? 

V12.1.00 of Ami Copy for DB2 has a PTF BQU3602 that corrects the START_RBA when not authorized to open the BSDS.   V13.1.00 of Ami Copy for DB2 has this fix included in the base code release



In this case tablespace was recovered to a RECOVERYPOINT TIMESTAMP.

Recover job displayed the following errors in MERGE phase of recover.

On reviewing the COPY job that created the image copy which was used in recovery, it was noted that the boot strap dataset did not have sufficient authority and could not be accessed. Due to this reason it is possible that COPY registered too high of a START_RBA in SYSCOPY. Too high of a RBA is one of the reasons for DM errors to occur.  
 
Solution:
======= 
1. The user needs to be given access to the BSDS and
2. Run the Copy utility to quiesce the space to get a good registration RBA in SYSCOPY
