The following examples assume that the maintenance period is scheduled to last 2 hours, and takes place between 9:00am and 11:00am.
Jobs and Folders
- Jobs that are executing at the time the maintenance starts, will continue to run on the Control-M/Agent. When the job ends, Control-M/Agent will keep the status of the job and communicate this to the Control-M tenant once the service has been restored.
- Jobs/Folders that were scheduled to start executing within the maintenance time frame, will be started as soon as the service has been restored.
- Jobs whose "From" & "To" time window falls entirely within the maintenance time frame, for example a job that is set to run From 09:00 To 10:00, will not run automatically after the maintenance window and may need manual intervention.
- Cyclic Jobs or Cyclic Folders: Cyclic jobs whose Next Run Time falls within the scheduled maintenance window will run immediately once the service has been restored.
Time-dependent Notifications
- "Job not submitted by <time>" or "Job not finished by <time>" notifications that are set before 09:00 A.M. do not require any action.
- Notifications that are set between 09:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. will be issued because of the expected delay.
- The above information also applies to jobs that have Notifications set at a later time (for example, 14:00 p.m.). These jobs might be considered late because of the tighter production time frame.
