ISPW - Documentation Suggestions & TipsTip #1 – When opening a new case in BMC Support Central, always include a copy of the STC CM started task log. There is a lot of useful information in this log that can help Support to best understand the nature of your environment. Even though it may not have any noticeable ‘errors’ or signs of ‘failures’, related to your problem… Support can use the information in this log to better assist you and help solve your problem more quickly and efficiently.Tip #2 – When possible, try to use a screen capture tool, or web meeting tool to record a video walkthrough of your problem. Include as much information as possible. Too much information is better than not enough. If you view logs, files or outputs while recording your video, it is always helpful to attach those to the case as well. Tip #3 – When taking screen prints, or video recordings… A ‘text’ representation of the screen or information is also extremely helpful.
