Question

Datastream and SMF Record Handler are up and online, but no Db2 data is showing in the AMI Ops Insight UI:

The Datastream started task log states via message CZA0215I IEFU83 and IEFU84 have been driven over 1 million times each, while IEFU85 has been driven 0 times. Only IEFU84 shows a selected count. Will Db2 scoring occur if IEFU85 is not being driven?

Answer

SMF exits IEFU83, IEFU84 & IEFU85 are required to capture RMF/CMF 7x and DB2 100 records. To score, AMI Ops Insight needs all required DB2 SMF subtype (IFCIDs) records. If the required DB2 subtype records provided by IEFU85 are missing, AMI Ops Insight will discard all other DB2 SMF records.

Please enable IEFU85 exit to resolve this issue. We use 2 exits for IEFU85 - SYSSTC.IEFU85, SYS.IEFU85, please issue the Display PROG command to see if these exits are installed.

/D PROG,EXIT,EXITNAME=exit-name,DIAG

If you still have issues with IEFU85 exits after adding SYSSTC.IEFU85, SYS.IEFU85 exits, you should run the command below just to verify the exits are installed again:

/F agent,$MGR,LPAUPD

The above MODIFY command will force datastream to redrive the SMF exit and load into LPA, please replace "agent" with Datastream started task name.
