There are several OpenJDK builds of Java available, however, Control-M supports only the vendors that BMC has verified. The vendor name is found in the ‘implementor’ field of the Java release notes. The verified list of Java vendors can be found with the link above. BMC continuously works to verify more OpenJDK Java vendors

Control-M follows the Oracle LTS policy for version support. ( 8, 11, 17, ..)

Additional Information:
Control-M 9.0.21 components require external Java, including Control-M Application Plug-ins.
In a hybrid environment where the Control-M/Agent and any installed Plug-ins are of different versions, an external Java 11 installation is required for components 9.0.21 and higher.
Make sure to set the BMC_INST_JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the external JRE before installation, per the instructions.
