How do I setup Receive Order? |
RECEIVE ORDER is the recommended method to obtain maintenance for your BMC products and solutions. You can find maintenance information by going to www.bmc.com/support ===> Downloads & Products then click on Mainframe Maintenance. Here you can find additional information on obtaining the Recommended Service Level(RSL), Enhanced HOLDDATA, FIXCAT data, and the ability to see the maintenance schedules. Before you begin using Receive Order, it is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the SMP/E for z/OS User Guide and reference chapter four, “Preparing to use Internet service retrieval”. The user guide provides an overview and detailed setup information for management of the required digital certificates. BMC RECEIVE ORDER services require two certificates and both must be added to the keyring.
The team that manages digital certificates for your site should do the setup work for the BMC certificates to use RECEIVE ORDER. Usually, this is the RACF or other security service team. If you plan on using FTPS with extended validation as the download method, an EV SSL certificate for the filedownload.bmc.com server is required. For digital certificates, and additional infrastructure information follow the link below: File server and certificate information page
In addition to the User Guide, the SMP/E for z/OS Command guide contains detailed syntax information for RECEIVE ORDER jobs. RECEIVE ORDER is supported via a batch job.
RECEIVE ORDER is supported via the web.
