Attempts to generate a BDSNA report in SAP take roughly 30 seconds (and occasionally more) to load and when generated they spew out data retrieval errors and fail to plot graphs. Although it reports data retrieval errors, data is still included in tables within the report.

The server containing SAP has a java process consuming roughly 50% of CPU and SAP's AdapterProcessingServer seems to be stuck in a starting state. Stopping the entire application and restarting solves the problem which appears again in some days.

Follow the below steps:

1. Login to CMC (Central Management console).
2. Select Servers
3. Stop (or force terminate) Adaptive Processing Server.
4. Right click -> Select Services on Adaptive Processing Server.
5. Remove the Platform Search Service from the list.
6. Click OK.
7. Start Adaptive Processing Server.
