This article completes this documentation page with the video below followed by a step by step procedure.
Step by step procedure:
- Configure the appliance to record the next scan results: Administration > Discovery Configuration, set "Recording Mode" to "Record".
- If possible, wait for a moment where there are no other scans running.
- If required by BMC, enable debug logs in the appliance UI, or in the proxy settings
- Create and start a Discovery run
- Use the suitable procedures to scan an IP, an API or a cloud.
- If required by BMC, enable the session logs from the Discovery run.
- Wait for the end of the scan.
- Check that the resulting scan contains the problem what you want to report to BMC.
- Collect the record pool data with this documented procedure.
Afterwards, don't forget to:
- Disable the record mode in In Administration > Discovery Configuration (set Recording Mode to "Off")
- Disable the debug logs if needed.
