Problem

- Control-M/Server New Day Procedure (NDP) is taking too long to finish due to statistics cleanup as recorded in the Control-M Log
- Have review the statistics information and all the records are required
- Need to exclude the statistics clean during the Control-M/Server New Day

Cause

can have various causes .

Solution

Alternate Solution:

Perform the below to exclude the statistics clean up during the Control-M/Server NDP:

1. Log on to the Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM)
2. Set the following Contorl-M/Server System Parameters:
- Set the "ONGOING_STATISTICS_CLEANUP " to Y
- Set the "STATISTICS_CLEANUP_IN_NEWDAY" to N
3. Recycle the Control-M/Server for the new system parameters to take effect

Additional Information:
- Do perform manual statistics cleanup for the Control-M/Server manually ( can be scheduled through a job , not scheduled near new day time ):

ctmruninf -PURGE
