Question

Which callout can be use on all the machine of a SOI so that it gets executed it is turned off to be decommissioned?

Answer

Configuring the callout on virtualguest stop operation may not be recommended as it may lead to problem where callout will be trigger even if you just try to stop the server.

In case you would like to launch the callout only for Decommission operation and "Stop" as the sub operation, recommendation will be to configure the callout for following:
- Class - ComputeContainer and operation name - ComputeContainer_BULKDECOMMISSION or ComputeContainer_DECOMMISSION
- Please make it pre-callout so that it gets trigger before actual decommission process gets start, which includes virtualguest stop operation.
