There are 2 methods by which an immediate upload of a Patch Inventory can be requested from the client device: 1) Using the patch detection node Patch detection is a component of Patch Management which scans devices for patches and displays the results in different categories. This node can be used to request a patch inventory from a single device or from an entire device group. - To request an immediate patch inventory from a device, go to Patch Management > Patch Detection > Scanned Devices > Right click and select Scan device to add the devices Once the scan is complete the device will upload the updated patch inventory to the master. The scan can also be scheduled to run at a certain time. 2) Using Operational Rule - Create an Operational rule and add the step 'Analyze Patch Situation' with below configuration: - Assign the device from which the Patch Inventory is to be requested. - The 'Analyze Patch Situation' step, will request the device to scan itself for the missing and installed patches and upload it in the patch inventory. |
