How to export or import objects in the console? Copy objects from one master to another in case: - there is a test master (as recommended) - there are several masters in the environment - a fresh install of a master is planned and some objects must be imported from the older master |
A- Import an object: - Select any node in the console as it won't import it in the node that is selected at the time of writing this Knowledge Article (KA) (12.9). - Select the menu "File" then click on "Import" then select the xml that has to be imported:
- Select the node "Global Settings" then "Lost and Found" and copy the imported object: - Paste it in the node it's supposed to be, aka the "Object Type" you can see in the screenshot above. In this example it should now be listed in the node "Reports".
3- Export your packages to another package factory - Select the "Device Groups" node, right click and select "Import Devices...". You'll find a link to a sample import file with instructions in the popup window that will appear.
