The Control-M/Server's ctmpsm utility shows jobs or folders that do not appear in the Workload Automation GUI client Monitoring domain Viewpoint.

Or in Control-M/Enterprise Manager, Workload Automation, Monitoring Domain, when filtering executing jobs, executing Smart Folders are not visible.

Sometimes, you can observe differences in total job number in the CMR_AJF database table on the Control-M/Server and the total jobs available in Control-M/Enterprise Manager GUI Viewpoint window.
You may see items in ctmpsm that do not appear in the Monitoring domain in the WLA GUI.

In order to solve this issue, you have to check the following:

1. Check the Viewpoint's filter in the Monitoring domain to see if it has any limitations.

2. Check the Viewpoint's collection in the Monitoring domain to see if it has any limitations.

3. Check the Control-M/Enterprise Manager Control-M Configuration Manager > Security > Authorizations for the EM user and any groups to which that user belongs.
    Active > Displayed Jobs and Folders > Filter...
    Check this to see whether or not it has any limitations. The EM user can see any job included in at least one of the groups of which the EM user is a member or included in the EM user's own authorizations.

4. Check in the Control-M/Enterprise Manager Workload Automation GUI client, File > Options > Monitoring > General Settings > Hide empty SMART Folders.
    Make sure that this box is unchecked.

5. If all the above options are ok, you have to check if you have empty folders or empty SMART Folders in your CMR_AJF database table.

Check in ctmpsm > Option 41 and verify the existance of empty tables.

At this point, you have to go to your Configuration Manager > Home > Definitions > System Parameters > Advanced

The "Type" is "gsr".
In the Name field, type: ViewpointPolicy

Change the value from:
"SELECT_JOBS"
to
"SELECT_JOBS_AND_SG"


Save and recycle the GUI server in the Configuration Manager.

Reconnect to the GUI.

You should see the same number of jobs in the EM GUI Monitoring domain Viewpoint as in the ctmpsm results.
