- There are many job_trace_*.txt files in the Control-M/Agent's temp directory taking up space and inodes.
- Prior to PARMC.8.0.00.008 these logs were created in the temp directory of the Control-M Agent ($HOME/ctm/temp).
- PARMC.8.0.00.009 and above, these logs are being create in directory $HOME/ctm/cm/SAP/jobtrace


 

- These Control-M/for SAP job_trace_*.txt files that are being generated are being cleaned at each New Day. If the cleaning of these files is not performed, please review the knowledge article 000278039 and ensure the parameter SYSKEEPDAYS is defined within the Control-M/Agent configuration.

- It is not recommended to clean these files which are created TODAY as in case of failure, it could be analyzed specifically per job.
- To disable this feature, please do the following:
   Note: Doing so makes it more difficult to troubleshoot SAP job issues when there is a failure
  1) Backup the <Agent Home>/ctm/data/SAP.dat file to a safe location
  2) Edit the <Agent Home>/ctm/data/SAP.dat file
  3) Change the parameter CREATE_JOB_TRACE from Y to N
      If the parameter does not exist, add it at the bottom
  4) Stop and restart the Control-M/Agent for the change to take effect
