How to set up Audit Reports in BMC Remedy Smart Reporting?
This knowledge article may contain information that does not apply to version 21.05 or later which runs in a container environment. Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers.
To import the audit reports follow below steps:
1. Locate the Admin Report.xml file on the BMC Remedy Smart Reporting server. By default, this file is located in theinstallServer\installDirectory\BMC Software\ARSystem\reporting directory.
2. Download it and save it in a temp location locally.
3. Open Smart Reporting in the default organization with the super admin user, usually siadmin — To provide access to administrators of all companies.
4. Go to Administration > Import.
5. On the import screen, clickBrowse and locate the Admin Report.xml file on the temp location.
6. Select Custom and then Continue:
7. From the list Select All and drag and drop all to the Import List section.
8. From the Import Items list, click the gear icon in the Smart Reporting Repository DB.
9. Update the connection details, enterthe user passwordfor theSmart Reporting databasethat was entered during installation, and test the connection:
10. Click Import.
Note: Importing Audit Reports from the Default organization will allow the content to be displayed for all companies when Multi-tenancy is configured.
Audit reports read data from the reporting repository database. To be able to view the audit reports correctly, perform the additional steps for viewing audit reports:
Access the BMC Remedy Smart Reporting url, and login as the BMC Remedy Smart Reporting superadmin, usually siadmin.
On the BMC Smart Reporting Console, choose Administration Console > Roles.
Click on the role that you will update for Smart Reporting users, which need access to Audit reports (e.g. Corporate Writer).
Look for Data sources and views section.
Check the checkbox for permission Skip Schema Check.
