The Control-M/Enterprise Manager client install fails with the error: "Failed to execute Crystal Reports component"

For version 7.0.00 a rollback may start and after 30 seconds the computer starts to reboot and a manual cleanup is required before reinstalling.

The CrystalReport installation tries to change file msvcr70.dll, which cannot be replaced if its in use.
Info 1603.The file C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcr70.dll is being held in use.  Close that application and retry

For version 8.0.00 and 9.0.00 the installer continues despite the failure, but the Reporting Facility will not function

Version 7.0.00
1. Before installing check if the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcr70.dll is in use
If anything is using it stop that process.

2. Run the Crystal Report installation before the Control-M/Enterprise Manager client installation using the command:
 
msiexec.exe  -i "<CD_ROOT>/Setup_files/3RD/CrystalReports.msi" BATCH="1" REBOOT="ReallySuppress" -qn -l*v "%TEMP%\CrystalReports10_sil_log.txt"

3. If step 2 fails, check if the installation has been disabled at the operating system level:
Open the registry and navigate to:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
If the value is set to 1, consult the Windows System Administrator for assistance.

4. Perform a regular Control-M/Enterprise Manager client installation.
It will skip the Crystal Report install if it notices that already exists.

Version 8.0.00 and 9.0.00:

4. IF APPLICABLE:  Verify that the Reporting Facility works on both the Default instance that was originally installed and the newly installed instance.  If the previous test succeeds then you can uninstall the second instance of the client through add and remove programs and continue to use the full client through the default instance normally.
