Problem

Symptoms:
- Failed to verify the Control-M for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) Account on Control-M Configuration Manager with this errror: SFTP_Connect : psftp_connect failed : No supported authentication methods left to try!
- Failed to verify the Control-M for AFT Account on Control-M Configuration Manager when selecting the Key authentication option with this error: The host refused our Key!
- For example, the Control-M for AFT Account verification will fail if the account contains a dot in the name when it is not supported on the SFTP Server

Cause

- The format and syntax of the Control-M for AFT Account name is not supported on the SFTP Server
- User name and password is not properly defined on the SFTP Server
