Problem

Control-M for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) jobs hang in Executing status, or AFT File Watcher jobs appear to wait forever, when the FTP reply on the data channel is not returned by the ftp server.

This problem only occurs on FTP connection profiles (so not SFTP), when the option "FTP Passive" is not enabled.

Cause

CAR00178529 - AFT - Jobs hanging in executing when FTP reply on the data channel is not returned by server (due to firewall, NAT etc.)

Solution

CAR00178529 will be resolved in a future release or fix pack for Control-M for Advanced File Transfer.

As a workaround, enable the "FTP passive" option in the connection profile.
